U.S. CITIZENS CAN STILL LEGALLY TRAVEL TO CUBA
Yes, Americans can travel to Cuba in 2018, and yes, it is a most interesting travel destination! Travel to Cuba that originates in the United States must be organized by a travel agency that provides U.S. travelers with a full schedule of activities that provide significant contact with the Cuban people, and Americans must be accompanied by a company representative on their flight from the U.S. to Cuba. Self-guided and unsupervised travel is no longer permitted unless it is a trip “in support of the Cuban people,” which must be documented. “Support of the Cuban people” includes meeting with community organizations, dissidents, and other organizations that are independent of the Cuban government and proving this may be difficult if the Treasury Department starts to investigate trips to Cuba in the future. You are required to keep a copy of your schedule and photographs of your trip to Cuba for five years.
PEOPLE-TO-PEOPLE TRAVEL TO CUBA IS EASY!
Americans who travel to Cuba under the people-to-people category must have a full schedule of activities with little to no down time, and to help with this we offer unique workshops that are entertaining and enlightening. Through our English-speaking Cuban guides, you will discover the real Cuba. Some of our unique workshops include Cuban Baseball, Santeria, Jazz+Rumba, Cuban Dance, Cuban History, Classic Car Restoration, Havana’s Architecture, SCUBA Diving/Flora & Fauna, Resolviendo. All are presented by acclaimed authorities in their respective fields, like musicians Julito Padron, Oliver Valdes, and Frank Oropesa, to Cuban baseball legend Rey Anglada, rumba band leader Diosdado Ramos, marine biologist/SCUBA diving instructor Hugo Cabrera, and some we can’t mention because they’d get in trouble with the Cuban authorities!
We specialize in custom-made tours for groups of any size, always allowing for plenty of one on one time with your guide, and the many interesting Cubans you will encounter on your trip to our island neighbor. We plan your tour around your schedule, so let us know when you would like to travel, and we’ll take care of the rest. From your Cuban entry visa to your night at the Tropicana Cabaret and rumba lessons. If you’ve already booked your flights, we will organize the people-to-people package for you. Contact us and we will help you reach the once forbidden island, with a trip tailored just for you. In case you’re wondering, we’re in Cuba year round and haven’t had any “sonic-attack” issues, we guarantee you will have a great time!
