CIRCUS IN HAVANA JUNE 24-JUNE 29, 2018
The circus will be in Havana next week! Circuba includes the participation of entertainers from nine Latin American nations who will entertain the public beginning in Cuba’s capital, and then throughout the island. This seventeenth edition of Circuba is dedicated to the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of Cuba’s National Circus. The festivities begin on June 24th at 8:30pm in the Havana neighborhood of Playa on 5th Avenue and 112th. The Carpa Trompoloco will feature performances by Compañia Habana, an award-winning group of Cuban entertainers who have just returned from a tour of Italy. Founded and led by German Muñoz Fuentes, it is a fusion of traditional circus acts and dance. From June 25th through June 28th, over thirty circus groups will compete for the events main prize, which is awarded on the night of the 29th of June.
CIRCUS IN CUBA JULY 4-SEPTEMBER 2, 2018
On July 4th, 2018, the circus will begin a national tour of Cuba that will stop at ten provinces beginning in Granma province, and ending on September 2nd at the Tropicana Cabaret in Matanzas.
