HAVANA BAR & RESTAURANT GUIDE
HAVANA’S BOULEVARD 66 CABARET
If you happen to bring a cocktail dress to Cuba with you and are not sure where to wear it, I have the answer. Boulevard 66 on San Rafael Street in Old Havana just opened, and it offers music and dancing, a full bar, and a menu with typical Cuban food.
Boulevard 66 opens at noon every day, and from noon until 7pm they play music videos, and offer a partial menu and drink service. It’s a great way to escape Cuba’s summer heat if you’re in Havana. The live music show starts at 10pm and ends just after midnight, featuring Cuban bands like Los Zafiros on Thursdays, and Moncada on Saturdays, both representatives of the typical Cuban bolero. Make sure you’re feeling romantic when you go!
When the live music ends the party continues, with a DJ and more dancing. The place tends to fill up for the live music and the crowd is mostly locals, so if you want to get a fix of Cuban music and dancing with Cubans, a sort of musical people-to-people experience, then this is the place for you!
