THE BEST OF HAVANA!
While Cuba’s many beach resorts offer guests endless buffets, in Havana they are rare. The Melia Cohiba Hotel in the Vedado neighborhood offers a lunch buffet that is open to the public and is better than many buffets offered at Cuba’s beach resorts. The dishes are international and Spanish, this is a Spanish hotel after all, with enough variety to satisfy everyone. For $20 the “all you can eat” buffet is hard to beat in Havana, and while it doesn’t have any stand-out dishes, just about everything is good. The bread is excellent, something which you will appreciate if you like bread and have been in Cuba a few days. The price does not include drinks.
The Melia Cohiba is in the Vedado neighborhood at the end of Paseo street where it runs into the malecon, you can’t miss it. Once you’re inside the lobby look for the escalator and the buffet is on the second floor. Check out the Cohiba cigar lounge right next door when you’re done with lunch.
