FAJOMA BAR OLD HAVANA
Located in the heart of Old Havana and rising three floors, Fajoma Bar is one of the trendy Cuban nightspots catering to the many foreign visitors who spend their nights in hotels and bed and breakfasts in Old Havana. The menu is limited, but all the items we tried on a visit this past weekend were excellent. They offer both tapas and main dishes, and I would characterize the fair as traditional Cuban food. The fish croquettes were the undisputed favorites of our group. The cocktails are well prepared, they even have Vietnamese beer, a first for me in Cuba, and prices are reasonable by foreign standards.
Fajoma offers live music on the first floor, a large wall to wall bar on the second, and a rooftop terrace with great views of the city in a great setting for kicking back and enjoying the steamy Havana nights. On weekend nights Fajoma offers live music, and on our visit this past Saturday Cuban Feelin’ featuring Julito Padron and Juan Carlos Marin were playing their jazz standards. If you don’t like steep and narrow stairs stick to the first floor.
Fajoma Bar is open from 12pm to 2 am daily, the address is Compostela 313 and the phone number is 7 862 1656.
